Great location with free parking at the very south end of windermere. We have stayed here twice on budget deals but everything was up to a good standard. Breakfast and evening meals excellent, staff mainly friendly and helpful (there's always one). Two nice log fires that were lit and cosy. Would definitely go back again, we have already.
Had a great one night stay friendly staff excellent value for money. We ate in Hunters Bar the food was very good. The bar and hotel were pretty busy so the food took a little while but we didn't mind as we had a drink whilst we waited. The staff did apologise for the wait. Our room was fine. The shower pressure was very good. We would stay here again it was good value for money
Groupon deal for £110. Faded grandeur with some badly worn carpets in places, plus shower only one (hot) temp. But clean overall and lovely homely lounge with open log fire and stunning food from Chef’s Specials!! Compliments to the chef. Won’t return as Premier Inn more modern and half the cost.
Room was clean and warm with very comfy beds. Plenty of very hot water. Good choice of very nice tasting food at dinner time, in a nice restaurant overlooking garden. Breakfast buffet still with plenty to choose from. All the staff we encountered were very effective and friendly. The Hotel could do with refurbishment. Carpets worn and shabby, rooms a bit dated. Overall experience was very good
We stayed in October at the Newby Bridge Hotel. We booked a 2 night stay through Travelzoo, this gave us a £30 dining credit for each person , I think this was an excellent offer. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Room was modern and well decorated, the bed was comfortable . All staff were friendly and gave good service. Food quality is excellent, breakfast is self service, with just about everything anyone could want in a breakfast. Evening meals we both enjoyed deep fried cod and chips on Friday, and the following evening Steak and Guinness pie which was beautiful, I did see many choices on the dinner menu, and despite the almost full occupancy we never had to wait long to be served. We even tried the carvery on Sunday afternoon, this was also very good. Dining area very pleasant, spacious, light, nice views of the garden. Only one minor point, parking I suspect might be an issue at certain times due to the popularity of the hotel. Location wise, Newby Bridge Hotel is close to the lake, easy drive to Bowness and Ambleside, also Haverthwaite steam railway, and the very interesting lakeland Motor museum are minutes from the hotel by car. All in all a perfect weekend stay, thank you to all the hard working staff at the Hotel !
Took up a January Deal - B&B with Dinner & bottle Prosecco thrown in. Fab welcoming staff couldn’t do enough for us. Room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so sat in the lounge with drinks in front of the open fire & had lots of enjoyable chats with other guests. Room and facilities were excellent. Bathroom a little tired but plenty of hot water , heating and soft large towels Whilst hotel is a little tired in places, everything else makes up for it. Give it a go…
We had a few issues with our original accommodation, but the lady on reception was incredibly helpful and polite. She went above and beyond to find us a room we were happy with and made sure everything was sorted to our satisfaction. Her customer service really made a difference to our stay. The breakfast was nice, the rooms were quiet, and the whole place felt cosy and warm. Overall, a much better experience thanks to the excellent service at reception. Would stay again.
Fantastic hotel, visited several times now, comfy rooms, beautiful spa and leisure facilities, food pricey but…. Very large portions of excellent quality. Staff all friendly. Can’t recommend this place enough
